maddi loves shoes and sticking things in bart's nose

these pictures are in no particular order, but tonight maddi and i made some funny faces, she tried on some shoes (the rain boots are bart's and the cute shoes are mine...of course), maddi tried to stick a piece of bart's sweater in her nose, and then in his, and i made my very first loaf of bread in the awesome-fantastical-sweet-mother-of-a-bread-maker tonight. it was an eventful evening. stay classy readers, the "kapowskis"

christmas

christmas was amazing. we left christmas eve around 4:15 from our house to go to grandma and grandpa's house. we had such a good time at bart's parent's house with: trev, tiff, and taylor; talene, jeff, kam, brin, and ayder; tom and laurie; dan, lisa, chris, tim, and angie (well just for christmas eve with those guys); grandma great; bart, maddi, and i! laurie found the beanie/headband i've been wanting for months...i can't believe she found one! and bart bought me a freakin sweet mother of a bread maker...i am VERY excited for wheat bread and ham and potatoe soup. mad, kam, brin, and ayder all got more toys than they'll know what to do with...and santa brought the girls a puppy! she is a schNOWzer...and her name is charli...only excpet kam can't seem to remember charli and she is calling her charles and scruff...which i don't think talene appreciates because some creep-a-licious dude's name was charles that was helping them with something with their house. bart really likes his video camera, tri-pod, and neoprene shed-hunting (no not at sutherlands franklin-covey!) slash rainboots...i think anyways! i got about a million texts and phone calls christmas day...thank you to all of you who remembered maddi and i :) stay classy readers, love kelly, maddi, and bart "kapowski"

memories

here are some pictures from this past year that hold great memories. hope you enjoy them. stay classy readers, love the kapowskis-maddi and kelly

so we got kinda bored driving the long way back to stansbury from provo one day (the day talene and jeff and the girls moved back from AZ to be exact) we had an extra pull up in my diaper bag and kam put it on her head, and then bart did, and then i did...and here are the results :)

maddi loves ketchup, and ketchup loves her face, obviously! ha ha. talene sent me this while she was tending maddi for me once. she took the girls to mcdonalds and maddi had a ball!

ice cream and grandma becky's and poppy dave's house...we love those guys!

one summer afternoon after driving through the canyon with the windows down in the cadillac because it was so hot!

rawr!

bart trying to do the rawr face...but he isn't as into it as i am.

it's begining to feel a lot like christmas! the first picture is of bart and i at the utah vs. byu game in provo the saturday after thanksgiving. this was after the game while we were waiting to say hi to jan jorgenson. i spotted this blue santa and just had to have my picture taken with him. the picture is blurry, but it's the memory that counts. i got all eighty of my christmas cards addressed, and started the outside of 41 of them...maddi is being a very good helper so far. AND WE SHOT DOWN A TREE WITH A GUN!!! well, bart did the shooting and maddi and i sat in the truck. bart (with the help of maddi and some binoculars) spotted this beauty of a tree on an oil pad and decided that she was the one. he was very proud of himself :) maddi and i decorated her this saturday and we like her a lot when the lights are off and the christmas tree lights are on...it reminds me a lot of my child hood. saturday we also went to the light parade with tom and mellissa. tom held maddi most of the time, he will make an excellent dad i think. it was freezing out there, but mellissa and i thought it was worth it to go, and the boys were nice enough to take us. all of my christmas shopping is done and i am ready to sit back and enjoy the holidays! i have a week off of work for christmas and i plan on doing absolutely NOTHING...well except for going to the park and baking and visiting family and friends :) it snowed for the first time this winter last night and today...it's very pretty outside, but hard to drive in. but the drive to work was worth it this morning, dr. dorr bought each of the assistants a pointsettia. he is probably the best employer of all time. i hope everyone is doing well! i'm off to hang outside christmas lights. stay classy readers, love the kapowskis.

hello everybody! i swore that i would never have a blog, but it only makes sense to start one when everyone i see hasn't heard from me in months, or even years. and with all of my friends and family slowly growing up and moving away and on with their lives, this seems like the logical way to keep my loved ones informed of maddi and mine's (and sometimes barts) doings. maddi is 19 months old now. here are some tid bits about her: she loves to eat, any and everything. she is a red head pee the bed!!! a lot of people ask me where she got the red hair...and no it wasn't from the mail man like i always joke around and say. my little sister, and trevor's grandma louise and some cousins (like willy and alexis and valerie) have red hair. maddi knows about 20-30 words and can repeat almost any word she hears...we have to be very careful about the things we say. my little sister made the mistake of teaching her the word booby...and now it's one of her favorites :( maddi WILL NOT say bart, unless she is mad. when we say "say bart" she says turkey. it is HILARIOUS. bart is a turkey, so i guess it fits. and for those of you who haven't heard from me for a long long time, i work at a dentist office a few days a week as a dental assistant. i start school again in january to get a few more classes under my belt for my eventual goal of getting pre-med stuff done. i have an a.s. from ceu, but i still need a few classes here and there. maddi and i are doing excellent as far as life goes in general...and bart and i are doing excellent as well. he is the nicest guy i think i've ever met. i like him a little bit :) and for those of you who are confused as to who bart is, he is my boyfriend...and he is incredibly good looking. if you are reading this and you know me please send me the link to your blog(s)! stay classy readers, kelly and maddi "kapowski"

p.s. the pictures at the top of the page: maddi now, maddi then, and bart!
